Alexandra is a marine surveyor and experienced safety and quality control manager with a particular emphasis on risk management in shipping, port and marine renewable operations. She is an accredited vessel inspector and can undertake CMID inspections of vessels. She has supported a number of marine renewable operations by way of the management of the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment process and provided valued input to the development of method statements and safe working procedures. She has a Master Degree in Marine Surveying and is qualified as watch keeping officer holding STCW II/1 OOW she also completed her Diploma in Marine Surveying with distinction with ISM Code as specialist subject. She is also qualified as VTS Operator V1 03/1 (Vessel Traffic Systems Operator) and as such she has a strong working knowledge of the control of navigation in the port industry and the operational and legislative interface between users in the marine renewable industry and service suppliers. She is completely familiar with the latest SVC coding requirements, Classification Society rules and the requirements of the ISM Code, Port Marine Safety Code and local, national and international regulatory and operational requirements. She has completed IOSH safety management training and NEBOSH General Certificate. She is competent in “autocad” and other specialist maritime related software.
