Bon voyage to the “Alpha Legacy” and her crew! She departed Orkney on 28th May 2021 and is sailing towards the port of Gibraltar. The 140 meter long feeder container vessel “Alpha Legacy” arrived in Orkney as the “Vega Omikron” in July 2020 for long term cold lay-up due to the effects from the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. The Orcades Marine team provided the mooring design and analysis for both the “Alpha Legacy” and her sister ship the “Vega Scorpio” referencing classification society standards and performed weekly maintenance checks.
