Julius is an Electro-Mechanical Engineer with Orcades Marine.
Having proven competence against the UK-spec at engineering technician level (EngTech), Julius is
registered with the Chartered Institution of building services engineers as Licentiate and with the
Institution of Engineering and Technologies as Technician member. He is a qualified electrician and
building services technician.
Julius has worked in a number of engineering fields at various levels after completing his initial
apprenticeship with Orkney Islands Councils Marine Services department. He has experience in
commissioning, Clerking works, trouble shooting, maintenance, repair and project management
on numerous electrical and mechanical systems. He has also specified and designed a number of
small engineering projects from initial design to completion and assisted on larger engineering
projects which includes working with renewable energy technologies.
Julius has a broad range of engineering skills both tools on and tools off, having started as an
apprentice and worked up. He is a proven and reliable team member and keen to undertake new
challenges.
